If you’ve tried to book in with our Cosmetic Nurse recently, you might have noticed a small change to our booking process. From now on, there are two options cosmetic consult new client and cosmetic consult regular client.
Why the change?
The new Queensland Health and AHPRA legislation requires all clients to have a consultation before receiving cosmetic aesthetic treatments. This step isn’t just about ticking a box it’s about safety, transparency, and making sure every treatment is right for you. While we were already doing this in clinic it needs to be clear from our website too.
Consults are complimentary
Your consult is a dedicated time for you and our Cosmetic Nurse to discuss your goals, assess your skin and facial structure, and create a plan that’s tailored to you. It’s where we talk through options, expectations, and answer your questions so you feel informed and comfortable.
If you decide to go ahead with treatment on the same day, your Cosmetic Nurse can often proceed straight after your consult so you won’t need to come back twice unless you’d prefer to.
Do we still treat all areas?
Yes. Nothing has changed in terms of what treatments are available. Whether it’s lips, cheeks, jawline, or skin boosters, all areas are still being treated—it just starts with your consult first.
Why it matters
We see this as a positive step for the industry. It ensures every client has a clear, professional plan for their treatments, and it helps us maintain the high standards we’re known for at SSKIN.
Booking ahead for Christmas
With the festive season approaching, appointment times always fill up quickly. Limited availability will start to show in the coming weeks, so we recommend booking your consults now to secure your preferred time and avoid the Christmas rush.
At SSKIN, your results and your safety always come first—and this updated process ensures you can enjoy both.
